VP, Emerging Brands
About the role
About the role
Grüns is building a portfolio of breakout wellness brands - Grüns Kids, Nütrops, Jüced, Immün, and other new innovations coming soon. We're looking for a run-through-the-walls, entrepreneurial operator to own these brands and their outcomes. This is a true GM role: you're setting the strategy, finding winning creative angles, and driving execution across the full acquisition funnel. You'll report directly to Chad, our Founder and CEO, and operate with the autonomy of a founder backed by the infrastructure of a scaled DTC business. You’ll get many reps at starting new businesses and learn – through execution – what it takes to scale each. For the right person, this is one of the most direct paths to founding a business of your own.
In this role, you will:
- Own P&L, strategy, and performance across the emerging brand portfolio - you fully own the results of these businesses
- Develop the creative and positioning strategy for each brand: finding the hooks, angles, and narratives that drive conversion and retention across paid, site, email, and organic
- Lead a cross-functional team on performance marketing execution; you know what makes creative work and can lead the team in iterating toward a winner
- Set go-to-market strategy for new brand and product launches, from positioning through channel execution
- Work cross-functionally with creative, growth, product, retail, and ops to execute your strategies
- Track, analyze, and report on brand performance across the portfolio; your success is measured strictly in the results you drive (i.e., how large you can scale each brand, profitably)
We're looking for someone who:
- Has 8+ years of experience in DTC or performance-driven brand building, with a clear track record of directly driving growth
- Has deep, hands-on expertise in performance marketing, particularly paid social and creative strategy
- Can identify a consumer insight and turn it into a compelling creative concept – and can write a brief, test multiple angles, and know intuitively why something is or isn't working
- Has operated in lean, fast-moving environments and built things without a playbook
- Is innately entrepreneurial and has aspirations to start their own business one day
- Has a bias toward taking action, not just delegating
Approach to the role:
- You care about the result, not the task - if what you're doing isn't producing the outcome, you quickly adjust
- You're energized by ambiguity; the fact that the playbook doesn't exist yet is an opportunity, not a blocker
- You want to be a Founder and/or CEO one day and see this role is one of the most direct paths there
- You're already thinking about how AI tools can sharpen creative testing, reporting, and decision-making
What success looks like: Within 12 months, the brands in your portfolio are growing faster than before you joined. You've shipped creative strategies that are working, identified the highest-leverage growth levers for each brand, and you've built an operating rhythm that enables the cross-functional team to execute
