Sr Accountant

Position Overview

The Sr. Accountant will act as both an individual contributor and reviewer for specific aspects of the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial reporting. Working closely with the Staff Accountant, the Senior Accountant will collaborate to streamline closing procedures and enhance overall efficiency within the finance team.

The Sr. Accountant will possess a thorough understanding of accounting principles, particularly within a multi-entity environment, and will be instrumental in leading various components of ERP closes within Sage Intacct. This role demands proficiency in overseeing the preparation of comprehensive workpapers, managing daily and weekly soft closes, and ensuring accuracy and compliance throughout the month-end close process.

The Sr. Accountant should demonstrate a strong grasp of GAAP accounting principles, technical acumen in navigating multiple accounting platforms, and the ability to approach challenges with resourcefulness and critical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Multi-Entity ERP Closes
  • Lead the multi-entity ERP close process using Sage Intacct, ensuring accurate capture and reporting of financial data
  • Oversee adherence to established timelines and protocols, collaborating seamlessly with various teams to guarantee precise data consolidation and reporting
• Workpaper Preparation
  • Lead the preparation and meticulous organization of detailed workpapers that support the financial close process
  • Ensure that all supporting documentation is accurate and complete
