About the role

Accountabilities:

    • Own the day-to-day management and publishing of social media content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, and additional channels as required.
    • Maintain an organised content calendar covering ideas, production, approvals, publishing schedules, platform requirements, and performance.
    • Manage the full short-form content workflow, from ideation and briefing through editing, review, approval, publication, and optimisation.
    • Brief and coordinate video editors, set deadlines, review completed edits, and provide clear, actionable feedback to ensure efficient revisions.
    • Review content against a high-quality standard covering hooks, pacing, captions, storytelling, accuracy, branding, audio, formatting, thumbnails, and platform specifications.
    • Develop and refine content ideas, scripts, hooks, headlines, captions, calls to action, recurring formats, and content series.
    • Repurpose long-form videos, interviews, podcasts, commentary, and existing footage into engaging, platform-native short-form content.
    • Optimise every post for its specific platform, including captions, titles, keywords, hashtags, thumbnails, CTAs, and other relevant publishing elements.
    • Track and analyse content performance using metrics such as views, reach, impressions, watch time, retention, completion rate, engagement, shares, saves, comments, clicks, and follower growth.
    • Translate performance insights into practical recommendations for future content and continuously improve the content strategy.
    • Produce clear weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reporting against agreed targets.
    • Monitor relevant property, finance, business, creator, and media accounts to identify trends, content gaps, emerging formats, and audience opportunities.
    • Stay informed about platform changes, algorithms, ranking signals, new features, and distribution trends across major social networks.
    • Manage comments, direct messages, mentions, and other audience interactions while maintaining an appropriate and consistent brand voice.
    • Identify potential leads, recurring audience questions, negative feedback, misinformation, complaints, and reputational risks, escalating sensitive matters when necessary.
    • Use AI tools throughout the content workflow for research, ideation, scripting, hook development, repurposing, analysis, productivity, and process automation.
    • Identify opportunities to streamline repetitive tasks and improve the efficiency and reliability of the content production pipeline.
    • Maintain accurate records of published content, assets, source files, approvals, and performance results.
    • Requirements:

      • 3+ years of hands-on experience managing social media accounts for a founder, executive, creator, personal brand, media brand, or business.
      • Practical experience with short-form content, including video editing, scripting, copywriting, content strategy, and reviewing video edits.
      • Strong understanding of hooks, retention, storytelling, pacing, audience behaviour, and what makes content effective in short-form formats.
      • Experience using social media analytics tools and interpreting performance metrics to inform content decisions.
      • Experience managing high-volume content calendars and coordinating multiple content workflows and deadlines.
      • Experience briefing, managing, and reviewing the work of video editors, including handling revision and approval processes.
      • Strong written English, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to communicate precise and actionable feedback.
      • Strong creative judgement and the ability to identify compelling stories, angles, hooks, and content opportunities.
      • Strong understanding of social media platforms, distribution mechanics, algorithms, and content best practices.
      • Highly proactive, organised, analytical, and comfortable taking ownership of measurable outcomes.
      • Ability to work quickly while maintaining a high standard of accuracy, quality, and presentation.
      • Strong research skills and an interest in Australian property, economics, business, finance, and current affairs.
      • Practical experience incorporating AI tools into content and social media workflows.
      • Adaptability to changing platforms, audience behaviour, content trends, and business priorities.
      • Comfortable working with Zoom camera ON throughout the full 8-hour shift.
      • Willingness to undergo a background check.
      • Availability to work a day shift aligned with Sydney, Australia time, approximately 9:00 AM–6:00 PM Sydney time.
      • Candidates should have a suitable computer setup, including Windows 11 (24H2 or newer) or macOS 14 (Sonoma) or newer, at least 512GB NVMe SSD, 16GB RAM minimum (32GB recommended), and a quad-core processor or better.
      • Reliable internet connection with a minimum of 50 Mbps download and 20 Mbps upload speeds.
      • A webcam capable of at least 720p resolution is required; 1080p Full HD is recommended.
      • An active noise-cancelling headset is required.
      • Hands-on video editing is not a core responsibility, but candidates should have a background in video editing and enough technical knowledge to review edits and provide informed feedback.
      • Experience with motion graphics, After Effects-style animation, simple graphics, covers, or thumbnails is a plus.
      • Experience with AI video, audio, or image-generation tools for short-form production is an advantage.
      • Previous experience creating content related to property, finance, business, or news is desirable.
