About the Role

The FinOps team at Coinbase operates as the central nervous system for our infrastructure spend, bridging the gap between Engineering, Finance, and Product. We manage the cost data across every product team within the organization and act as the primary liaison with all of our vendor partners to ensure our financial data is exceptionally accurate and valid.

Key Responsibilities

• Driving FinOps Culture: Make cost-awareness part of everyday engineering and product decisions through cross-functional collaboration, clear metrics, real-time visibility into cloud spend, automated tagging and chargeback/showback, and ongoing education.
• Cost Allocation & Unit Economics: Manage cost allocations across all Coinbase projects so that every team has a crystal-clear view of their all-in costs, incorporating both shared services and partner service usage.
• The FinOps Hub: Build out a centralized FinOps Hub serving as a single pane of glass for all optimization and cost data, allowing real-time monitoring of resource utilization and quick reaction to cost issues.
