The Role
The Consumer Foundations team is dedicated to ensuring product quality across the retail app by providing critical insight into reliability and performance data, and leveraging AI to identify and improve existing services. Our mission is to make Coinbase the most dependable crypto platform in the world.
As a Software Engineer on the Consumer Foundations team, you will partner with engineers across the retail team to reach these goals. This is a unique opportunity to define and drive a company-wide quality strategy while working on critical product teams used by millions of users around the world.
What You'll Be Doing
- Develop and maintain dashboards and tools to identify and drive improvements to key quality metrics
- Partner with engineering teams to tackle key reliability and performance initiatives
- Advocate for quality culture improvements by improving testing, observability, and tech debt management
- Partner with PM, Design, and other functions to align product strategy with long-term technical bets and roadmap
- Elevate engineering quality and promote best practices through design review, code review guidance, and process improvements
- Lead the adoption of AI-driven development practices
What We Look For
- 5+ years of software development experience with experience writing performant, large-scale distributed systems
- Strong software engineering background
