The Role

We are looking for an exceptional attorney to join as Senior Counsel on our Commercial Legal team. You will be responsible for a variety of cutting-edge payments deals that will set precedent for the crypto industry.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Negotiate first-of-their-kind, highly-tailored agreements with strategic partners and sophisticated counterparties in the payments and fintech space
  • Drive novel agreement structures and provide practical advice on legal issues and risk
  • Effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams (Business Development, Sales, Product, Engineering, Finance/Tax, Compliance) and legal colleagues to solve problems, build partnerships, and close complex deals quickly
  • Develop scaled strategies for addressing risk in business-centric ways and build commercial playbooks that facilitate business flexibility and accelerate deal timelines
  • Serve as a trusted business partner by looking around corners and creatively solving problems with the business to help build and execute their transactional and product roadmap

What We Look For

  • 7-10+ years of relevant transactional experience in-house or at a leading law firm
  • JD or applicable equivalent and current license in a U.S. state
  • Deep expertise with fintechs, banks, payment processors, payment networks, and/or payment issuers/acquirers
  • Experience structuring complex transactions and commercial agreements with strategic partners
