About the role
Polymarket is looking for an experienced smart contract engineer to join our core protocol team. You'll design, build, and ship secure, high-performance smart contracts that handle millions in daily volume and keep our peer-to-peer markets running flawlessly.
You'll have end-to-end ownership—from ideation and architecture to implementation and deployment—while collaborating closely with a world-class engineering team. Expect a mix of building new protocol functionality, improving developer tooling, and responding quickly to the evolving security landscape in DeFi.
What you'll do
- Build secure, battle-tested smart contracts. You'll design, implement, and deploy Solidity-based contracts that are both elegant and hardened against exploits.
- Level up the protocol. Contribute to protocol-level infrastructure, tooling, and new features that directly impact millions of users.
- Respond to real-world challenges. Investigate vulnerabilities, simulate attack scenarios, and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Review and refine. Participate in rigorous code reviews to ensure quality, security, and maintainability.
- Stay ahead of the curve. Keep up with the latest EVM developments, tooling, and best practices—and bring that knowledge back to the team.
- Mentor and collaborate. Share your expertise with other engineers and work closely across product, design, and operations to bring ideas to life.
