About the role

About the role

International growth is next for Grüns, and this role is how we make it real. You'll own our paid media engine across the UK, EU, Canada, and ANZ, launching and scaling Meta and Google from the ground up in each market. This isn't a strategy seat. You'll build the campaigns, the tracking, and the playbooks yourself, then build the team around what works.

While this role is part of our global remote HQ, we feel a candidate based in or around Europe will be most successful in this role.

The team members you’ll be working with most are in multiple countries and time zones, so we ask that you are comfortable working a way that allows for some overlap in working hours to collaborate.

More generally, we operate in a fully remote, high trust environment with teammates across multiple countries and time zones. While we work async by default, we come together in person twice a year for offsites that help us connect, align, and build real relationships IRL.

In this role, you will:

  • Launch and scale Meta and Google campaigns across our priority international markets, including the UK, Canada, ANZ, and key EU markets like Germany
  • Own measurement end to end: CAPI, GA4, GDPR-compliant tracking, and a regular cadence of incrementality and lift testing
  • Scale spend into the millions annually while protecting CAC, LTV/CAC, and contribution margin
  • Build a repeatable testing engine across creative, audience, offer, and localized landing pages
  • Partner closely with creative, product, and lifecycle teams to keep execution sharp across markets
  • Build the foundation for a specialist team: hiring plan, workflows, vendor model, once performance is proven
  • Own the quarterly international growth roadmap, including recommendations on new markets and channels

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has 5+ years in performance or growth marketing with hands-on paid media ownership, not just oversight
  • Has personally launched and scaled Meta and Google campaigns in at least two international markets (Canada, Australia, UK, or a non-English-speaking EU market like Germany, the Netherlands, or France)
  • Has scaled paid media spend into the millions annually while holding the line on CAC and contribution margin
  • Has real command of GDPR-compliant tracking and measurement, including CAPI, GA4, and incrementality testing
  • Comes from a high-growth DTC, subscription, or eCommerce business with real paid media dependence
  • Has built campaigns in-house rather than at an agency. You've lived with the downstream impact of your own calls, not just made recommendations from the outside

Approach to the role:

  • Operates like an owner of the business, not a specialist waiting to be told what to test next
  • Builds systems and playbooks that repeat, not one-off wins that don't scale
  • Makes sharp decisions with imperfect data and gets more precise as the picture fills in
  • Sees every market as its own puzzle, but never starts from scratch when a proven pattern already exists

Compensation & Benefits:

At Grüns, we are committed to offering a competitive total compensation package grounded in market data and aligned to our size, stage, industry, and geographic location. Compensation for this role will be benchmarked to the local market and may vary based on experience and country of hire. In addition to base compensation roles include a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your well-being, growth, and work-life balance.
