Role
Bad Robot Games is looking for a Lead Producer who is project management oriented and can guide a production team from development through a successful ship and beyond. This is an opportunity to join our exceedingly collaborative and experienced team at a critical stage of development and have a direct impact on 4:Loop. You will be a senior voice in the production org, keeping teams aligned, unblocked, and moving with purpose from pre-launch through ship.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with all project teams to drive them toward delivery, serving as a connective force across disciplines
- Serve as the primary production point of contact for department leads, ensuring no team is operating without clarity on priorities or timelines
- Partner with the Executive Producer to define and uphold the production philosophy and ways of working across the studio
- Establish and maintain multiple roadmaps and high level schedules that account for all phases of development through launch
- Evaluate priorities, scope, staffing, and resources, thoughtfully adjusting strategies to react to changing requirements
- Champion, mentor, and support the professional development of producers and the broader production team along with the Executive Producer
- Bring clarity to ambiguity by defining creation pipelines, tracking work, and establishing clear communication pathways across disciplines
- Facilitate and document outcomes and action items for team meetings, discussions, and breakouts
- Foster strong connections to ensure the consistent and timely exchange of information and materials among all relevant parties
- Maintain a clean, up to date project backlog in Jira, assisting with task organization, prioritization, and tracking
- Mitigate risks and take ownership of any unforeseen events as they arise
- Drive team culture by initiating, fostering, and maintaining positive working relationships across a distributed team
- Contribute to the broader production organization, sharing process improvements and tooling across the studio
Key Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in production, with at least one year as a Senior Producer on a shipped game title, ideally on Unreal and for PlayStation and PC
- Shipped at least one title as a Lead Producer, with extensive knowledge of the full cycle of production
- Experience managing and mentoring other producers and supporting their growth
- Experience driving products remotely across a distributed team
- Experience with multiplayer games and an understanding of what it takes to ship at scale
- Strong communication, writing, and facilitation skills, with the ability to align stakeholders across disciplines
- Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools including Jira, Miro, Slack, and Discord
- Excellent project management skills including task prioritization, risk mitigation, dependency tracking, and stakeholder management
- Strong change management and conflict resolution skill set
- All of our roles require up to 10% air travel. Examples include Studio/Team Offsites, Team/Studio Events, etc.
