CFD Simulation & Meshing Expert – AI Training & Evaluation

Pay: $56/hour

We are seeking an experienced Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and meshing expert to develop high-quality post-training tasks and evaluations that improve AI model capabilities in engineering simulation and mesh generation.

What You'll Do

• Design realistic CFD simulation and meshing tasks using OpenFOAM, Netgen, Gmsh, and snappyHexMesh.
• Create reference solutions, validation criteria, and automated evaluations to assess AI-generated outputs.
• Develop tasks covering mesh generation, refinement, boundary conditions, solver configuration, simulation execution, and result interpretation.
• Identify common failure modes and develop progressively challenging tasks to improve AI model performance.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with OpenFOAM and CFD simulation workflows.
• Practical expertise with mesh generation tools such as Netgen, Gmsh, and snappyHexMesh.
• Strong understanding of mesh quality, numerical methods, convergence, and simulation validation.
• Python or scripting experience for automating simulation workflows and evaluating results.
• Ability to design technically rigorous, reproducible engineering tasks.
