About This Role
Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for reconciling and analyzing platform data in the company's financial and platform systems. This position requires impeccable attention to detail and a focus on process improvement.
What You'll Be Doing
- Reconcile and analyze ending balances
- Assist with the launch of new digital assets and products impacting platform accounting operations
- Ensure that appropriate internal controls over platform accounting are in place
- Operationalize new areas of the business to facilitate streamlined accounting transactions
- With major system experience, recognize the links upstream/downstream and verbalize the impacts and reliance in connection with changes or enhancements
- Provide project requirements and coordinate, manage and oversee any testing to improve existing processes and automate any related systems
- Provide support for internal and external audits
What We Look For In You
- CPA or equivalent required
- 9+ years of progressive accounting experience with a mix of Big 4 public accounting and industry experience in the fintech/financial services industries
- Minimum 2 years of experience in crypto or blockchain-related accounting
Work Environment
While many roles at Coinbase are remote-first, in-person participation is required throughout the year. Team and company-wide offsites are held multiple times annually to foster collaboration, connection, and alignment.
