About the role
Accountabilities:
- Translate solution designs and customer requirements into complete, reliable workflows using a workflow builder and platform SDK.
- Develop orchestration logic incorporating conditions, retries, fallbacks, compensations, parallel execution, and other mechanisms for handling real-world failures and edge cases.
- Build reusable workflow patterns and templates that can scale efficiently across customers, vendors, and use cases.
- Write clean, testable TypeScript code for data transformations, validations, custom logic, and workflow steps.
- Own workflow outcomes throughout the delivery lifecycle, from discovery handoff and implementation through rollout and ongoing support.
- Troubleshoot production workflow executions using logs, metrics, and operational data, identifying root causes and implementing improvements.
- Incorporate customer feedback and lessons from production incidents to continuously improve workflow reliability, efficiency, and maintainability.
- Coach customers on workflow best practices, self-service capabilities, technical boundaries, and implementation expectations.
- Collaborate closely with Customer Solutions, Engineering, and network specialists to ensure workflows align with platform standards and customer requirements.
- Identify recurring customer and operational needs and provide feedback that helps shape workflow-builder capabilities, integrations, SDK improvements, and product roadmap priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer, Network Engineer, or similar technical professional, preferably within a B2B SaaS environment.
- Strong software development fundamentals, with hands-on TypeScript or JavaScript experience.
- Ability to translate ambiguous customer, technical, or operational requirements into clear, testable, and supportable solutions.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles, testing, troubleshooting, and production support.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities, with a practical approach to resolving complex workflow and operational challenges.
- Self-motivated, proactive, adaptable, and results-oriented, with a genuine interest in technology, automation, and continuous improvement.
- Experience designing or implementing automation and orchestration systems, such as workflow engines, DAGs, integration pipelines, or similar technologies, is an advantage.
- Previous experience in telecommunications or OSS/BSS environments is a plus.
- Customer-facing technical experience is beneficial.
- ReactJS proficiency is considered an additional advantage.
- Annual salary range of $100,000–$150,000 CAD.
