Background
FamilyWell Health is an AI-enabled mental health start-up dedicated to solving the women’s mental health crisis by seamlessly embedding high quality, equitable, & affordable mental health care into OB/Gyn practices. FamilyWell provides comprehensive virtual mental health services designed specifically for integration into OB/Gyn and Family Medicine practices utilizing the psychiatric collaborative care model. FamilyWell’s virtual care team model delivers evidence-based coaching, therapy, care coordination, and psychiatric services with specialized expertise in perinatal mental health and perimenopause/menopause.

Location: Remote
Department: Care Operations
Reports to: Lead Therapist
Job type: Part-time, 10-30 hours per week as a 1099/contractor
Compensation: $80 per 60-minute session (inclusive of intake and follow-up) plus 2-hour allotment per month for administrative compensation
Patient Care & Support Responsibilities
- Provide individual tele-therapy to patients requesting regular sessions using FamilyWell’s virtual platform.
- Conduct one-on-one psychological intakes for referred FamilyWell program patients, gathering comprehensive assessments to inform treatment planning.
- Document patient progress comprehensively, sharing treatment recommendations with medical providers, psychiatric consultants, and other treating professionals as needed.
- Facilitate treatment plan modifications for patients needing more intensive or specialized mental health care, ensuring timely and appropriate interventions.
- Develop and deliver Care Plans post-session, offering patients actionable insights and follow-up steps.
Qualifications
- Licensed mental health provider who holds an active license in MA. All applicants must be able to practice independently / without supervision.
Licensures that qualify include the following:
- Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW)
- Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
- Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
Experience
- Formal perinatal/peri/menopause mental health training or a minimum of 1 year of clinical experience working with pregnant and/or postpartum and/or peri/menopause patients is strongly preferred.
Preferred Certification
- Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C) from Postpartum Support International is recommended but not required.
- Proof of certification in the treatment of the Peri/Menopause population is recommended but not required.
Skills & Attributes
