VP of Member Growth

About the Role
Maven is looking for a VP of Member Growth to own one of the most important numbers in the company: enrollments. This role is directly accountable for driving member enrollment into Maven's programs across our core business — and, by extension, the revenue those enrollments generate. You will own the enrollment engine end to end, from awareness through activation, turning eligible lives into engaged members.
Enrollment is not a single-team problem. It sits at the intersection of nearly every function at Maven, and this role is built for someone who thrives there. You'll partner daily with Client Success (who own the client relationships that unlock eligible populations), Marketing (member acquisition and lifecycle), Product (enrollment experience and funnel), Finance (targets, forecasting, and unit economics), Data (measurement, segmentation, and attribution), and Clinical and Operations teams. Because so many teams touch enrollment, a core part of the job is holding those cross-functional partners accountable to their piece of the machine — the engine only works when every team delivers its part.
This is a player-coach role. You will lead a small, high-caliber team while remaining deeply hands-on yourself every day. Although it carries a VP title, it is explicitly NOT a leaned-out management position for someone who wants to direct a team from a distance. This is a hard requirement: the person in this seat reads the data themselves, pressure-tests the funnel, drafts the plan, and does the work alongside the team. We are looking for a builder and operator who also develops people — not a manager who has stepped away from the work.
We're also looking for someone who can expand the definition of the job. A great deal of enrollment optimization work is already underway, but there is not enough strategic thinking about fundamentally new ways to drive enrollments — approaches that don't simply depend on securing permission to communicate with a client's employees. This role is expected to find and open those new avenues, not just optimize the existing ones.
