About the Role

itel is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Vice President of Business Development to accelerate growth within the healthcare sector. This senior leadership role focuses on driving strategic new business opportunities, expanding market presence, and cultivating high-value relationships with decision-makers across insurance providers and hospital systems. The ideal candidate will have strong existing relationships within the healthcare industry and proven expertise in selling consulting services and staff augmentation solutions, with an ability to influence, negotiate, and close complex deals.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, prospect, and build relationships with senior stakeholders within healthcare organizations, including payers, insurers, and hospital executives.
  • Influence and help direct future product offerings.
  • Develop and execute strategic business development plans to drive revenue growth and achieve or exceed sales targets.
  • Position Itel as a trusted partner by delivering consultative, client-focused solutions that address critical business needs.
  • Lead and deliver persuasive executive-level presentations, proposals, and demonstrations tailored to healthcare decision-makers.
  • Negotiate and close high-value contracts for consulting and staff augmentation engagements.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project delivery, client satisfaction, and long-term account success.
  • Monitor industry trends, regulatory shifts, and competitive landscapes to identify new opportunities and inform strategies.
  • Leverage CRM tools (Salesforce, Freshsales) to maintain pipeline visibility, forecast accurately, and manage client relationships effectively.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or a related field (master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of proven success in healthcare business development, with experience in consulting services and/or staff augmentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Deep knowledge of healthcare industry dynamics, including payer and provider ecosystems.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and executive presence.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce, Freshsales) and pipeline management best practices.
  • Ability to thrive independently and within a collaborative leadership environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required.
