About the role
About the Role
The Utility Consultant plays a key role in implementing and configuring Entrata's utility solutions post-sale. This position ensures a seamless client onboarding experience by aligning software configurations with customer business needs and offering expert consultation throughout the implementation process. The role requires strong problem-solving capabilities, excellent communication skills, and collaboration with internal teams to uphold service quality, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Lead post-sale consulting engagements to guide clients through onboarding and configuration of Entrata’s utility products.
- Configure software based on client workflows to ensure accurate billing and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain subject matter expertise through platform certification and continuous learning.
- Troubleshoot implementation challenges, document findings, and escalate complex issues as needed.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams including Operations and Fulfillment to ensure seamless project handoff.
- Support development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and participate in process improvement initiatives.
- Maintain high levels of client satisfaction through clear communication and responsive support.
- Communicate regulatory updates and support client compliance adjustments.
- Configure and test software systems based on client specifications.
- Communicate with clients and internal stakeholders to understand requirements and provide solutions.
- Manage multiple implementation tasks concurrently while meeting established timelines.
- Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, communications, and issues.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in software implementation, utility billing, or a related field.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively by meeting deadlines and managing workload efficiently.
- Proficient in Google Suite and capable of learning new platforms quickly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Maintain professional interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt existing solutions to unique client needs.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a client-facing or consultative role preferred.
- Familiarity with the multifamily housing industry and utility regulations is a plus.
