Job Description

  • Responsible for creating clear, concise, and accurate documentation for products, services, or processes, often in high-tech or specialized fields.
  • Involves translating complex information into user manuals, guides, help files, white papers, and training materials that are easily understandable by the target audience.
  • Must have excellent writing skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to grasp intricate technical concepts quickly.
  • Work closely with engineers, product developers, and subject matter experts to ensure the content's technical accuracy and relevance.
  • Proficient with documentation tools, understanding of XML, DITA, or other markup languages, and familiarity with graphics and publishing software are often required. Update documentation as products evolve, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Education, Background and Years of Experience

  • Typically has a Bachelors degree, and 3 - 5 years of experience, or equivalent relevant work experience; e.g., each year of work experience may be substituted for each year of education required.

Required Skills

  • Develops and maintains clear, accurate technical documents, plans, procedures, reports, and deliverable packages supporting activities. Coordinates inputs from subject-matter experts and applies document-control and quality standards before submission.
