About the role
Accountabilities:
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities by analyzing market trends, customer requirements, competitive activity, and emerging technology needs.
- Develop and execute business development and capture strategies aligned with organizational objectives and available technology capabilities.
- Partner closely with engineering, product management, and marketing teams to design customized technical solutions and compelling value propositions.
- Lead complex proposal efforts, client presentations, negotiations, and partnership discussions to secure high-value contracts and strategic relationships.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, internal stakeholders, and other key decision-makers.
- Monitor business development KPIs, pipeline activity, and market performance, adapting strategies to achieve growth targets.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, persuasive messaging for both executive and non-technical audiences.
- Use CRM and sales analytics tools to manage opportunities, strengthen pipeline visibility, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
- 15+ years of experience in business development or sales within the technology sector, with a proven record of leading complex technical sales cycles and closing high-value opportunities.
- Strong understanding of technology products and solutions, with the ability to connect technical capabilities to customer and business needs.
- Active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, including the capacity to assess market data, customer feedback, and competitive dynamics.
- Preferred experience with software development, cloud computing, battle management, AI-enabled command-and-control (C2), and Man-Machine Interface (MMI) software development.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms, sales analytics tools, and data-driven pipeline management.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional certifications in business development or project management, such as PMP or CBAP, are a plus.
