Tech Lead /Sr. Principal Engineer (L6)

Accountabilities

• • Architect, design, develop, and own the end-to-end implementation of high-impact prototypes and production-ready software solutions.
  • Drive technical exploration and research involving artificial intelligence, machine learning, large language models, and other emerging technologies.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to experiment with new concepts, validate technical approaches, and integrate successful innovations into products.
  • Establish strong engineering practices around architecture, code reviews, quality standards, maintainability, and continuous improvement.
  • Mentor engineers and contribute to raising overall technical capability and code quality across the team.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts, architectural decisions, trade-offs, risks, and project progress clearly to engineering peers and executive stakeholders.
  • Navigate ambiguous and rapidly changing requirements, adapting technical strategies based on experimentation, user feedback, and evolving market conditions.
  • Leverage advanced developer tooling, LLMs, Model Context Protocol (MCP), and agentic coding approaches to accelerate software development and experimentation.
  • Make pragmatic technology choices across modern programming languages, frameworks, databases, and cloud platforms based on the requirements of each problem.
  • Contribute to the development of next-generation solutions designed to explore new possibilities in artificial intelligence and human-machine interaction.
  • Collaborate effectively within a globally distributed organization and participate in occasional in-person project or team meetings when required.

  Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 12+ years of professional software development experience with a strong track record of delivering complex software solutions.
  • Strong proficiency in modern programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, Java, or Go, with the ability to select the appropriate technology for the problem.
  • Experience developing applications using frontend frameworks such as React or Angular and/or backend frameworks such as Node.js or Spring Boot.
  • Strong understanding of database technologies across both SQL and NoSQL paradigms, including the ability to determine the appropriate approach for different use cases.
  • Advanced experience with AI-assisted development, including LLMs, modern developer tools, Model Context Protocol (MCP), and agentic coding workflows.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to independently navigate highly ambiguous technical challenges.
  • Demonstrated autonomy and resourcefulness, with the ability to self-unblock, make decisions, and drive execution without constant direction.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and mentorship skills, with confidence participating in high-bandwidth technical discussions.
  • Hands-on exposure to artificial intelligence, machine learning, or LLM-related projects is highly desirable.
  • Deep knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and a solid understanding of distributed systems architecture is a plus.
  • Ability to learn unfamiliar technologies rapidly and iteratively develop solutions to well-defined and evolving problems.
  • Genuine passion for innovation, experimentation, and emerging technologies.
  • Experience working effectively with remote or globally distributed teams is advantageous.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or technology communities are a plus.
  • Ability to work remotely from India, specifically from Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Maharashtra, or Delhi.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for project collaboration, team meetings, or other in-person engagements.
