About the role
Accountabilities
- Lead the successful delivery of task-order projects involving data processing, information management, IT, and telecommunications professionals.
- Manage day-to-day contract support operations, potentially across multiple projects, teams, and geographic locations.
- Organize, direct, and coordinate the planning and execution of contract support activities and project deliverables.
- Provide leadership across activities including analysis, design, systems integration, testing, documentation, conversion, extension, and implementation of automated information and telecommunications systems.
- Establish and maintain an effective management structure to support efficient contract execution and team performance.
- Coordinate personnel and resources to ensure projects remain aligned with contractual requirements, timelines, and objectives.
- Analyze source documentation and support the development of acquisition and project documentation.
- Apply knowledge of the federal Information Technology Acquisition process and its key milestones.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and other stakeholders through both written and verbal channels.
- Monitor overall project performance and address operational challenges to maintain successful contract support.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Project or Program Management certification, such as PMP or another recognized equivalent certification.
- At least 5 years of experience in program management.
- At least 10 years of leadership experience with progressively increasing responsibility in public- and/or private-sector IT or consulting environments.
- Demonstrated experience managing teams and complex technology initiatives, potentially across multiple locations.
- Experience with the Information Technology Acquisition process and its associated milestones.
- Experience analyzing diverse source documentation and supporting the development of acquisition-related documentation.
- Strong project planning, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to establish effective management structures, coordinate diverse teams, and drive successful delivery in a government contracting environment.
- Strong understanding of IT project and program management practices, with the ability to balance strategic oversight and operational execution.
