As the Talent Development Specialist, you will help deliver and support learning experiences that help AHEAD employees build skills and perform at their best. You'll be a key member of AHEAD's Talent Development team, working closely with Talent Development Partners, Learning Experience Designers, and the Learning Technology and Systems Lead. This is a hands-on, blended role: you'll spend your time creating learning content, facilitating flagship programs, supporting our learning management system, and supporting team initiatives. We're looking for someone who is curious, collaborative, organized, and eager to grow across the full range of talent development work in a fast-moving environment.
Responsibilities
Learning Design & Content Development
- Assist in the creation of eLearning modules, job aids, videos, and assessments that make learning practical and easy to apply.
- Translate learning objectives into engaging content using adult learning principles, and create storyboards, scripts, and outlines that guide development.
- Utilize AI tools and frameworks to draft, prototype, and enhance learning content in a timely manner.
- Apply shared templates, brand standards, and accessibility best practices to deliver consistent, “client-ready” materials.
- Facilitate AHEAD flagship programs such as New Hire Orientation and Accelerating Your IMPACT by delivering a consistent, engaging experience.
- Support program logistics, participant communications, and follow-up to ensure a smooth learner experience.
- Gather participant feedback during and after sessions and share insights to improve future delivery.
- Assist in creating, updating, and running reports in the learning management system (Cornerstone).
- Assist in preparing and deploying learning solutions in the LMS in partnership with the Learning Technology and Systems Lead.
- Maintain accurate learning records, enrollments, and completion tracking, and follow up as needed.
- Manage multiple projects and timelines in a fast-paced, agile environment, communicating progress, risks, and needs clearly.
- Communicate progress, risks, and needs to the Talent Development Partner and stakeholders.
- Deliver high-quality work on schedule while balancing shifting priorities.
- Support the Talent Development team with special projects and other duties as needed.

Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Adult Learning, Human Resources, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in talent development, corporate learning, instructional design, training facilitation, or a related field.
- Experience creating learning content using modern authoring tools (preferably Articulate Rise or Storyline, or equivalent) and basic multimedia tools (such as Canva, Loom, Synthesia or similar).
- Experience using AI and modern design tools to support drafting, prototyping, and content enhancement.
Skills/Abilities
- Comfortable facilitating or co-facilitating learning sessions and engaging a live audience, virtually and in person.
- Familiarity with learning management systems (such as Cornerstone), including comfort preparing content for deployment and creating, updating, and running reports.
- Application of adult learning principles and inclusive/accessibility best practices.
- Ability to translate information into clear, simple, and engaging learning materials.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, including working effectively with stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, stay organized, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to rapidly learn new subject areas and support a range of functions (such as engineering, consulting, sales, and operations).
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality, clarity, and learner experience.
