About the role
Accountabilities:
- Lead and coordinate complex technical programs and multiple workstreams across Product Engineering, Security, Legal, and enterprise-facing initiatives.
- Own the program management layer for cloud security efforts, including security control rollouts, remediation service-level agreements, governance, and audit readiness.
- Build scalable execution mechanisms, including product-style intake processes, prioritization frameworks, program operating rhythms, and launch readiness reviews.
- Partner with Product Management, Engineering, Build, Architecture, and leadership teams to drive successful product launches and smooth deprecation of legacy tooling.
- Coordinate security programs spanning multiple engineering teams and maintain clear ownership, milestones, dependencies, risks, and outcomes.
- Participate confidently in architecture reviews, technical design discussions, build documentation reviews, and post-incident debriefs.
- Read and reason about production code in modern programming languages such as Python, Go, and Java to effectively engage with engineering teams.
- Evaluate cloud infrastructure at the architecture level, with particular focus on AWS security, reliability, scalability, cost, latency, and failure modes.
- Directly analyze metrics, logs, dashboards, SIEM data, and service-level objective burn rates to assess security and operational performance.
- Drive programs involving cloud security and posture management, Kubernetes runtime security, security data pipelines, SIEM, security automation, and SOAR.
- Support programs involving machine learning and LLM-enabled products, including training and evaluation pipelines, security considerations, and readiness for general availability.
- Develop durable program frameworks, operating mechanisms, documentation, and processes that improve execution consistency across teams.
- Coordinate major security incidents when required and help ensure lessons learned are translated into sustainable program improvements.
- 10+ years of technical program management experience, including at least 5 years supporting security, cloud, data platform, infrastructure, or similarly complex technical organizations at scale.
- Prior individual contributor engineering experience in software, security, data, SRE, or a comparable technical discipline.
- Demonstrated ownership of programs spanning multiple engineering teams, ideally with regular engagement and reporting at Director level or above.
- Proven experience shipping products or major technical initiatives, including general availability launches, launch readiness, and post-launch operational management.
- Strong expertise in at least three of the following areas: cloud security and posture management, Kubernetes runtime security, security data pipelines and SIEM, security automation, and SOAR.
- Ability to review and challenge technical architecture and build documents, with a strong understanding of distributed systems, latency, efficiency, cost, reliability, and failure modes.
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and security architecture, particularly within AWS or comparable cloud environments.
- Familiarity with ML- or LLM-integrated products, including training and evaluation pipelines and the technical judgment required to assess production readiness.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex technical risks into clear program priorities and execution plans.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to influence engineers, technical leaders, product stakeholders, and executives.
- Proven ability to create sustainable program frameworks, mechanisms, and operating processes rather than simply managing individual projects.
- A degree in Computer Science or a comparable technical background is an asset.
- Experience with major SIEM and SOAR platforms, cloud-provider security services, or Kubernetes-native security tooling is an advantage.
- Experience coordinating Sev 1 or Sev 2 incidents is a plus.
- Background in data protection, privacy, or Data Loss Prevention (DLP) programs is desirable.
- Fully remote position based in India, with occasional opportunities to visit an office for team events or meetings.
- Competitive total rewards package that may include performance bonuses or incentive compensation.
- Retirement savings benefits, depending on applicable local programs.
- Potential equity or employee stock purchase plan participation, depending on role and eligibility.
- Competitive health and wellness benefits.
- Paid time off and applicable public holidays.
- Family-friendly benefits, including parental leave.
- Opportunities to work on large-scale security, cloud infrastructure, and engineering programs.
- A collaborative environment that supports experimentation, continuous learning, and professional development.
- Employee Resource Groups and initiatives supporting diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
- Opportunities to work alongside highly technical teams and influence security practices across complex, globally scaled systems.
- Support for learning and career growth through exposure to modern cloud, security, infrastructure, and AI technologies.
