About the role
Accountabilities:
- Define and drive analytics strategies in partnership with executive leadership, translating organizational priorities into measurable data initiatives.
- Develop long-term KPI frameworks covering patient outcomes, provider performance, compliance, operational efficiency, and scalability.
- Use advanced SQL on a daily basis to extract, clean, organize, integrate, and analyze data from multiple sources, maintaining strong data-quality standards.
- Build scalable and reusable data models that support enterprise-level reporting, business intelligence, and strategic analysis.
- Establish consistent data definitions, reporting structures, and metric calculations across the organization.
- Support regulatory, quality, operational, and compliance reporting while identifying risks related to data accuracy, audit readiness, and healthcare requirements.
- Anticipate changes in business or operational processes and proactively recommend adjustments to data structures, reporting, and analytical frameworks.
- Develop predictive models and forecasts using SQL, Python, R, or comparable analytical technologies.
- Create senior-level analytical frameworks for evaluating operational initiatives and measuring their effectiveness.
- Partner strategically with Operations, Finance, Clinical, and other business functions to identify opportunities, answer complex questions, and improve decision-making.
- Translate ambiguous requests from non-technical stakeholders into structured analytical plans, methodologies, and deliverables.
- Present complex findings to senior and executive stakeholders, turning analytical insights into clear recommendations and business actions.
- Identify gaps in data collection, governance, reporting, and analytical processes and implement scalable improvements.
- Mentor mid-level and senior analysts, strengthening both technical capabilities and business acumen across the analytics organization.
- Maintain a high standard of analytical rigor and ensure data-driven recommendations are based on reliable, well-understood information.
- Complete a technical assessment during the interview process to demonstrate SQL proficiency and analytical reasoning.
- 7–10 years of professional experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a closely related analytical discipline, with strong strategic thinking and stakeholder-management capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Expert-level SQL skills with extensive hands-on experience cleaning, structuring, integrating, querying, and analyzing complex data sets.
- Strong proficiency in Python, R, or similar analytical programming languages.
- Advanced experience with BI and visualization platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, Zoho Analytics, or comparable tools.
- Experience working with healthcare, telehealth, or another highly regulated industry is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of healthcare operations, compliance considerations, and regulatory reporting environments.
- Ability to work independently and make sound analytical decisions in ambiguous, high-stakes, and fast-moving environments.
- Demonstrated ability to influence executive-level stakeholders and serve as a trusted strategic analytics partner.
- Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to translate complex technical concepts into accessible business language.
- Ability to transform unclear business questions into structured analytical plans and clearly communicate methodology, findings, and recommendations.
- Strong presentation skills and confidence communicating complex data to senior leadership.
- Ability to balance deep technical expertise with strong interpersonal and business-partnering skills.
- Comfortable managing urgent, high-visibility analytical requests while maintaining accuracy and quality.
- Experience mentoring analysts and contributing to the development of analytical standards and best practices.
- Familiarity with HIPAA, healthcare compliance frameworks, or other regulated environments is preferred.
- Experience supporting multi-state healthcare operations, board-level reporting, investor analytics, or enterprise KPI frameworks is a plus.
- The role requires strong independent analytical judgment; candidates should be able to evaluate data quality and perform core SQL analysis without relying on AI tools.
