About the role
Accountabilities:
- Support leadership in identifying, evaluating, and implementing AI-powered tools that modernize Deal Desk workflows and improve operational efficiency.
- Facilitate automation and enhancement of internal tools through functional testing, issue identification, bug remediation, documentation, and monitoring of system outputs.
- Support the ongoing development and maintenance of the global deal model, including troubleshooting, roadmap execution, specialized financial modeling, and documentation.
- Manage and enhance reporting related to renewals, pricing, discounting, deal velocity, bottlenecks, and commercial trends, providing actionable insights to leadership.
- Support the implementation and operationalization of global discount and commercial strategy programs across relevant systems and workflows.
- Partner with Finance and Product teams to improve cost-data quality, maintain data hygiene, and serve as a key contact for day-to-day cost-data questions and issues.
- Maintain dashboards and analytical tools that provide visibility into deal performance, sales-segment trends, discounting, and operational bottlenecks.
- Develop and maintain enablement materials, Deal Playbooks, and other resources that help global sales teams navigate commercial processes effectively.
- Collaborate with CRM, CPQ, and systems teams to track enhancements, manage updates, and ensure new products and configurations are incorporated accurately.
- Work cross-functionally with Finance, Sales, Legal, Operations, Product, and technology stakeholders to deliver strategic initiatives and resolve operational challenges.
- Analyze complex business and financial questions, develop data-driven recommendations, and communicate tradeoffs and solutions clearly to stakeholders.
- Contribute to process improvements that increase deal velocity, strengthen data integrity, improve system reliability, and enable the Deal Desk organization to scale effectively.
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree plus at least 3 years of experience in Corporate Finance, FP&A, Strategic Finance, Commercial Finance, Deal Desk, or a related analytical go-to-market function; candidates without a degree should have at least 5 years of relevant analytical experience.
- Strong analytical and financial capabilities, with a solid understanding of core financial concepts and the ability to clearly explain financial implications and commercial tradeoffs.
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, including experience building financial models, logic-driven formulas, scenario analyses, and analytical tools.
- Experience working with business and sales technology platforms such as Salesforce, Tableau, contract lifecycle management tools, JIRA, or similar systems.
- Experience supporting discounting or commercial strategies within systems such as CPQ, Salesforce, Airtable, or comparable platforms is highly valued.
- Familiarity with AI technologies and an interest in applying AI and automation to improve business workflows and operational processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate complex issues, identify root causes, and translate analysis into practical solutions.
- Excellent project coordination and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, systems, stakeholders, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present analytical findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and business audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across Finance, Sales, Legal, Operations, Product, and technology teams.
- A curious, action-oriented mindset and willingness to take ownership, learn new systems quickly, and contribute in a rapidly evolving environment.
- Experience managing internal or external stakeholder relationships and building alignment across teams is preferred.
- The role is remote within the United States, but candidates cannot be hired in California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, or Washington.
- Competitive compensation, with location-dependent estimated salary ranges including $96,640–$120,800, $102,240–$127,800, or $113,600–$142,000 depending on geographic location.
