About the role
Title: Senior Investment Operations Analyst
We are seeking a Senior Investment Operations Analyst to own critical investment reporting, data-quality and portfolio support processes for the Company’s investment portfolio. This role provides exposure to fixed income, equity and derivative investments and regularly prepares reporting and high-value analysis for senior management, executive committees, rating agencies, regulators and the Board of Directors. The successful candidate must have advanced Excel proficiency, be detail-oriented and able to work independently to solve complex problems as well as work collaboratively.
The position is in the Middle Office team which reports to the Chief Investment Officer.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain Excel spreadsheets to support investment analysis and reporting
- Generate investment reporting for diverse internal and external stakeholders including executive committees and the Board of Directors
- Produce daily and weekly reports including fixed income trades and unrealized gain/loss positions
- Identify opportunities to improve and automate processes including incorporating AI tools where appropriate and consistent with Company governance requirements
- Integrate third-party data sources such as Bloomberg into data analysis and reporting for fixed income, equity securities and derivatives
- Support investment portfolio operations in coordination with Investment Accounting, external managers, custodians and vendors
- Manage collateral operations in support of the Company’s Federal Home Loan Bank (FHLB) spread investment program and state-required deposits
- Compile and organize investment data in Excel for annual rating agency surveys
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
- 3-5 years relevant experience, insurance investment/middle office experience preferred
- Candidate must be proficient in Excel including XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, aggregation formulas, PivotTables, chart/table construction and reconciliation of large datasets
- Strong PowerPoint and data visualization skills.

- Professional communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Bloomberg and Bloomberg API experience preferred
Salary Range: $66,500.00 - $92,000.00
- Salary is commensurate to experience, location, etc.
