Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Accountabilities:

• • Define testing strategies for product verification and validation, and create and maintain comprehensive test plans.
  • Design, develop, and execute both manual and automated test cases for web applications and APIs.
  • Participate in reviews of requirements and design specifications, working closely with internal and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Analyze and summarize test results, identify anomalies, and document defects in appropriate tracking systems.
  • Communicate testing status, risks, and quality findings to relevant stakeholders and recommend solutions to identified issues.
  • Apply quality standards throughout the software development lifecycle and contribute to improving testing processes, tools, and practices.
  • Support, guide, and mentor other QA team members while promoting effective testing standards and knowledge sharing.

  Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 4+ years of experience testing complex software systems.
  • Strong understanding of QA processes, testing methodologies, and test documentation standards.
  • Hands-on experience with both manual and automated software testing.
  • Practical experience with API testing tools such as Postman and performance testing tools such as JMeter or NeoLoad.
  • Familiarity with test and defect management platforms such as Jira, Zephyr, qTest, or similar solutions.
  • Understanding of Jenkins or a comparable CI/automation server is preferred.
  • Experience with database testing and SQL is an advantage.
  • Working knowledge of a programming language such as JavaScript, Java, or Python, along with automation frameworks or tools such as Tosca, Playwright, TestNG, or Selenium.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities, combined with excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively and consistently meet deadlines.
