Software Engineer, General

Accountabilities

• • Build and ship customer-facing product experiences across web, desktop, and mobile applications.
  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs capable of supporting reliable production workloads.
  • Contribute to cloud infrastructure, platform systems, and infrastructure supporting products and AI model serving.
  • Develop internal developer and research tooling that improves engineering productivity and accelerates the broader team.
  • Take ownership of high-leverage technical problems, identifying opportunities and implementing solutions without requiring extensive direction.
  • Work across technical domains as priorities evolve, contributing wherever engineering expertise can have the greatest impact.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers and other team members, participating in code reviews and maintaining high standards for reliability and maintainability.
  • Apply AI-assisted development tools extensively to improve development speed, quality, and problem-solving.

  Requirements

  • Several years of experience building and shipping production software that real users depend on.
  • Deep expertise in at least one area such as frontend engineering, backend development, infrastructure, systems, or ML tooling, combined with the ability to work effectively outside that specialty.
  • Strong proficiency in the primary development languages used in the environment, particularly TypeScript and Python.
  • Comfort working with a systems-oriented language such as Rust when technical requirements call for it.
  • Strong ownership and initiative, with the ability to identify problems, determine appropriate solutions, and execute without waiting for detailed instructions.
  • Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted development tools as a meaningful part of your everyday engineering workflow.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a low-ego approach to working in a small team where engineers regularly review and build upon one another’s work.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving environment where priorities and high-impact problems can change quickly.
  • Experience with AI products, LLM applications, AI agents, or tool-calling workflows is a plus.
  • Open-source contributions or substantial personal projects that demonstrate technical curiosity and initiative are valued.
  • Familiarity with modern AI infrastructure, including PyTorch, OpenAI-compatible APIs, model routing, or inference systems, is an advantage.
