If designated as hybrid, you’ll divide your time between working remotely from your home and an office location, so you should live within commuting distance. If designated as remote, you’ll be working remotely from your home and may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings. We are looking for a Software Engineer to assist in building the next generation of Data Integration Platform between eCommerce and GoDaddy Data Platform! This is an outstanding opportunity for a Software Engineer to influence and contribute to building a secure, highly available, fault-tolerant, and globally performant microservices-based platform deployed on AWS, using the newest technology stack.
What you'll get to do...
- The UDP (Unified Data Publishing) and RTF (Real Time Finance) are production data platforms with zero message loss, fault tolerance, and high availability
- You will have the opportunity to contribute to improving existing architecture & suggest practical enhancements.
- Working in a scrum team, you will collaborate with other specialists, product managers, architects, and operations teams both within and outside the eCommerce group
Your experience should include...
- 3+ years of experience in a software engineering role, with experience in backend services or contributing to distributed systems.
- 1+ years of Cloud computing experience, with AWS considered an advantage
- Experience with the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud
- Experience working in agile teams
- Proven experience in Java
- Focus on code quality and high development standards
- Strong independent problem-solving skills
- Willing to adopt test-driven development techniques
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate efficiently
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools
- Good English skills – both verbal and written
You might also have...
- Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases
- Experience in writing unit, integration, and smoke tests
- Experience deploying code with CI/CD technologies like GitHub Actions and Jenkins
- Familiarity with container orchestration platforms, preferably Kubernetes
- Familiarity with containerization platforms, preferably Docker
- Proficiency with AWS Services such as S3, API Gateway, Lambda, Kinesis
- Exposure to Python would be a plus
