Software Architect

Accountabilities:

• • Lead the end-to-end design of scalable and resilient solutions, with a focus on microservices, REST/GraphQL APIs, and distributed system integrations.
  • Act as a senior technical reference for backend and mobile engineering teams, as well as technology partners and suppliers.
  • Guide teams in applying architectural principles and best practices, including Clean Architecture, Hexagonal Architecture, DDD, SOLID, design patterns, and TDD.
  • Conduct technical assessments and build-versus-buy analyses to support strategic technology decisions.
  • Participate in RFPs, proof-of-concepts, technology evaluations, and architectural assessments.
  • Identify, prioritize, and manage technical debt and platform risks, establishing mitigation plans to protect the long-term health of solutions.
  • Collaborate continuously with enterprise architecture to ensure product solutions align with broader technology strategies and standards.
  • Lead complex technical discussions and communicate architectural decisions clearly to engineering teams, leadership, and other stakeholders.
  • Promote reuse of existing components and capabilities while reducing unnecessary duplication and architectural complexity.
  • Support continuous improvement, innovation, scalability, and efficiency across the engineering ecosystem.

  Requirements:

  • Proven experience working as a Solution Architect or Software Architect, with strong backend expertise in Java, Kotlin, or comparable technologies.
  • Solid understanding of mobile architectures across iOS and Android, with the ability to review and guide technical decisions made by mobile teams.
  • Deep knowledge of software architecture principles and design patterns, particularly Clean Architecture, Hexagonal Architecture, DDD, and SOLID.
  • Practical experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL and NoSQL technologies such as MongoDB and Redis.
  • Strong knowledge of communication protocols including HTTP/HTTPS and messaging or event-driven technologies such as SNS, SQS, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
  • Ability to lead complex technical discussions and communicate architectural concepts effectively to both technical and executive audiences.
  • Experience with Git/Git Flow and API documentation using Swagger/OpenAPI.
  • Experience working with distributed systems, microservices, APIs, and integration architectures.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure is a strong advantage.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, Docker, and Kubernetes is desirable.
  • Experience with event-driven architectures and data-streaming solutions is a plus.
  • Familiarity with API Management platforms such as Apigee Hybrid and observability tools such as Grafana or Datadog is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, GoLang, ISO 27001, and agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder-management, and technical leadership skills.
