About the role
Accountabilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Snowflake, SQL, and ETL/ELT technologies.
- Develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries and scripts for data extraction, transformation, analysis, and business insights.
- Create and manage Snowflake objects, including databases, schemas, tables, views, and stored procedures.
- Integrate Snowflake with multiple data sources, cloud environments, and third-party tools.
- Monitor Snowflake environments and investigate and resolve performance, reliability, and data-processing issues.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.
- Ensure data quality, security, governance, and access-control standards are consistently applied.
- Automate data workflows and contribute to best practices for efficient, scalable, and maintainable data management.
- Participate in Agile-based development processes and contribute to continuous improvement across the data engineering lifecycle.
- Use performant SQL and data solutions to generate actionable business insights and support better organizational decision-making.
- 5–15 years of professional experience in data development, data engineering, data warehousing, or a closely related field is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Snowflake SQL and Snowflake architecture.
- Hands-on experience designing and developing data pipelines using Snowflake and ETL/ELT processes.
- Experience with ETL/ELT tools such as Informatica, Talend, dbt, or Matillion.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing and data modeling concepts.
- Experience working with at least one major cloud platform, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Ability to write efficient, high-performance SQL queries and scripts for data transformation and business analysis.
- Understanding of Snowflake security concepts, including role-based access control and data sharing.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, with a structured approach to identifying and resolving technical issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Familiarity with Python, Java, or Shell scripting is an advantage.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is a plus.
- Familiarity with BI platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker is desirable.
- Snowflake certification, such as SnowPro Core, is considered an advantage.
- $20–$25 per hour, according to the original job posting.
- Fully remote position based in Brazil.
