Role Overview

Skillsoft is hiring an experienced State, Local, and Higher Education (SLED) Account Manager to lead account renewals and growth with a process-oriented mentality and a strategic, growth mindset, with a solution-selling approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead account renewals and growth initiatives
  • Create renewal plays to accentuate Skillsoft's strengths in alignment with client's strategic and tactical training/development initiatives
  • Secure 95%+ renewal rates
  • Build upgrade pipeline through strong interpersonal client relationships, prospecting, and deal creativity
  • Maintain sales system to stay 90-120 days ahead of renewals and 2-3 quarters ahead in sales cycle for upgrades
  • Navigate public sector buying and contracting processes

Requirements

  • Track record of exceeding quota
  • Familiarity with State, Local Government and Education buying cycles, fiscal periods, and contracting vehicles
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Solution-selling approach
  • Process-oriented mentality with strategic, growth mindset
