About the role

Accountabilities:

    • Design, configure, develop, and enhance ServiceNow solutions, with a focus on ITSM workflows, state models, assignment rules, user interfaces, and automation.
    • Build advanced automation and orchestration using Flow Designer, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Script Includes, and related platform capabilities.
    • Maintain and customize Service Catalog items, record producers, Service Portal components, and other self-service capabilities.
    • Manage CMDB architecture, CI class structures, relationship mappings, data reconciliation rules, IRE configurations, and transform maps to maintain accurate configuration data.
    • Design and develop upgrade-safe custom applications using ServiceNow Studio and Application Engine, applying appropriate application scoping and access controls.
    • Develop, configure, and troubleshoot REST and SOAP integrations, IntegrationHub spokes, and MID Server configurations connecting ServiceNow with third-party platforms.
    • Collaborate with Product Owners, Process Managers, architects, and cross-functional stakeholders in Agile/Scrum environments to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
    • Support platform upgrades, instance cloning, Automated Test Framework execution, troubleshooting, and ongoing platform maintenance.
    • Estimate development effort, contribute to prioritization, and help ensure reliable delivery against customer and business expectations.
    • Produce technical documentation, solution designs, proposals, and other materials while supporting platform governance and continuous improvement.
    • Mentor and support team members, facilitate Scrum ceremonies and demos, and contribute to talent development and knowledge sharing.
    • Stay current with ServiceNow capabilities and identify opportunities to improve platform functionality, methodologies, automation, and operational outcomes.
    • Requirements

      • 3+ years of related professional experience in ServiceNow development, software engineering, or a comparable technical discipline.
      • Technical training, relevant certification, or a degree in a related field.
      • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification is required.
      • Strong functional and technical expertise across Incident, Change, and Problem Management modules.
      • Demonstrated experience with CMDB architecture, scoped application development, and ServiceNow platform configuration.
      • Proficiency with JavaScript, Glide APIs, HTML/CSS, JSON, XML, REST, and SOAP.
      • Hands-on experience with IntegrationHub and MID Server administration.
      • Solid understanding of ITIL processes, software development life cycle practices, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
      • Experience gathering requirements, creating technical designs, troubleshooting complex issues, and translating business needs into scalable solutions.
      • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively.
      • Clear, authoritative communication skills with the ability to influence technical and business stakeholders at different levels.
      • Experience leading Agile ceremonies, Scrum demonstrations, collaborative working sessions, or similar team activities.
      • Proven ability to mentor colleagues, support team development, identify process gaps, and drive methodology improvements.
      • Strong customer focus, organizational skills, and the ability to manage delivery expectations while maintaining high-quality outcomes.
      • Creative and analytical approach to developing innovative technical solutions.
      • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and able to pass a background check required to obtain a position of Public Trust.
      • Willingness to work remotely with less than 10% travel as required.
