About the Role

We’re looking for a Contract Visual Designer to join the Brand Experience team within the Design Foundations organization to help us deliver on our rebrand expansion and quality expectations in our product. This is a hands-on, full-time engagement for someone who loves the craft of design, and cares deeply about how a color palette lands emotionally and systematically and can move from brief to a polished, production-ready deliverable while maintaining our brand promise and attention to detail.

You’ll be collaborating daily with Brand Experience and Product Design partners, within the Design organization. We’re looking for a creative thinker who can shape ideas and then bring them to life to scale the team.

What You’ll Do

• Design visual assets across alongside the Design Foundations team, including icons, illustrations, product UI assets, and other product related visuals.
• Help evolve and apply Superhuman’s visual identity system across typography, color, layout, and brand expression.
• Develop concepts from creative briefs to final handoff with design quality and speed.
• Partner with product design teams to expand and align the visual language.
• Maintain organized, handoff-ready files and contribute to shared design libraries.
• Participate in design crits and provide feedback to improve the work.

You May Be a Good Fit If You…

• Have 4+ years of experience in visual, brand, or marketing design, with a portfolio that demonstrates range — from design / brand systems work to expressive digital product or brand design.
• Are expert-level in Figma and have strong command of the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects). You choose the right tool for the task.
• Have exceptional instincts for typography, layout, color, and hierarchy.
• Are comfortable working within an established brand while actively contributing to its evolution.
• Can manage multiple projects and deadlines without losing your attention to detail or your standards.
• Have worked in-house at an AI-native technology, SaaS company — or fast-paced design agency.
• Have familiarity with motion or animation design. Not required, but a huge plus.

Type: 6 month contract (~40 hrs/week)

Location: Remote in the United States, with PST timezone preferred (Note: proximity to Vancouver, SF, Seattle or NYC hub required for consideration for full-time conversion)
