In This Role

In this role, you will support qualitative user research efforts for a portfolio of data, analytics, and business intelligence products used by technical professionals. You will partner closely with researchers, designers, and product teams to plan and execute studies that uncover user needs, workflows, and pain points.

You will play a hands-on role in conducting interviews and usability testing, managing research logistics, and synthesizing findings into clear, actionable insights. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both the execution and operational sides of research and is comfortable working within complex technical domains.

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and execution of qualitative research studies, including in-depth interviews and usability testing
  • Conduct and assist with user interviews, contextual inquiry, and usability evaluations to understand user workflows and pain points
  • Help manage research operations, including participant recruitment, scheduling, note-taking, and study logistics
  • Analyze qualitative data and synthesize findings into themes, reports, and presentations
  • Create clear, structured deliverables such as research summaries, insights decks, and documentation
  • Maintain organized research repositories and documentation for team access and reuse
  • Collaborate across multiple research projects, ensuring timely and high-quality execution
  • Identify patterns in user feedback and help translate insights into product and design recommendations
  • Ensure research activities align with privacy, consent, and compliance standards

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Information Science, Market Research, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 4–6+ years of experience in UX research, user research, or market research
  • Demonstrated experience with qualitative research
