Senior Software Engineer - Banking Integration Platform

About the Role

Mercury is building a banking integration platform as part of our application for a national bank charter and FDIC deposit insurance. This team is responsible for connecting modern, product-focused engineering systems to enterprise core banking systems and payment networks.

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Banking Integration Platform as a Service team, you will build integration subsystems that are technically correct and operationally trustworthy. Every account opening, monetary transaction, and balance call will flow through the systems you build. You'll create clean abstractions that hide complexity for product teams across the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build integration subsystems connecting to core banking systems and payment networks
• Ensure technical correctness and operational trustworthiness of banking infrastructure
• Create abstractions that enable product teams to work with complex banking systems
• Handle integration of systems with different power systems, communication protocols, and technical architectures
