About The Role
We’re looking for a Senior Python Engineer to join our Wallet team, which owns critical services in our product. The team is responsible for players’ wallets, bet placement, settlements, deposits and withdrawals, and other critical backend services. We’re looking for engineers with strong backend fundamentals and experience building reliable, high-load systems with complex business logic.
What You’ll Do
- Take full ownership of backend features and improvements, from design through implementation, deployment, and production support
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend services using Python and Django, including asynchronous components where applicable
- Write unit and integration tests to ensure system reliability, prevent regressions, and improve overall test coverage and testing practices
- Estimate software development effort for features and long-term technical initiatives
- Collaborate with product, QA, and engineering teams to turn requirements into well-defined technical solutions
- Participate in code reviews, help raise engineering quality, and contribute to technical decisions
What We're Looking For
- At least 5+ years of development experience, with Python as the primary language
- Strong experience building production backend systems with Django and asynchronous python (asyncio)
- Strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures and concurrency
- Experience in architecture design of highly loaded and scalable solutions
- Hands-on experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL), including writing complex SQL queries, schema design, migrations, performance tuning
- Experience with Redis for caching and state management in distributed systems
- Strong understanding of the development cycle from requirements analysis and deployment to application monitoring
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotations

- Prior experience working with systems supporting 1M+ users
- Experience in writing automated tests, measuring test coverage, and defining test automation strategies
