Senior Product Manager-Vault
About the role
Summary
We’re hiring a Senior Product Manager to own Alt’s Vault end-to-end — from the moment an item arrives at the vault to the moment it leaves. This role owns all internal vault workflows, tooling, SLAs, logistics, and activation paths that turn physical collectibles into liquid, revenue-generating inventory.
The Vault is a profitable, high-throughput business unit and a core growth engine for Alt. This PM is the GM of the Vault experience, responsible for ensuring the vault can scale volume, activate inventory faster, and deliver a world-class, AI-enabled experience across domestic and international customers.
This role has direct influence on the Vault P&L through speed, cost, quality, and inventory activation. While this role does not own the P&L outright, it materially shapes unit economics and growth. It will also play a central role in enabling future expansion opportunities.
This is a large, meaty role with real operational, technical, and business impact — ideal for a builder who wants to apply modern software and AI to a complex physical system.
Why This Role Exists
Alt’s Vault now holds hundreds of millions of dollars of inventory and continues to grow rapidly. Functionally, the Vault operates like a high-end warehouse and 3PL business, layered with sophisticated internal software and marketplace integration.
Vault performance directly determines:
- How fast customers get paid
- How efficiently Alt operates at scale
- How quickly inventory becomes live and monetized
- Whether the business can grow without linear headcount growth
Today, too much of this system relies on manual coordination, tooling gaps, and founder involvement. We need a dedicated Product Manager to own the Vault as a system, professionalize workflows, introduce automation and AI-assisted tooling, and ensure the Vault can scale into a durable, standalone capability.
What You’ll Own
1. End-to-End Vault Lifecycle
- Own the full lifecycle of items from arrival at the vault to exit: receiving and ingest SLAs, intake, processing, and internal routing, exception handling and quality control, outtake, shipping, and customer handoff
- Define and enforce predictable, measurable SLAs at every stage
- Continuously identify bottlenecks and failure modes and remove them systematically
2. International Shipping & Logistics
- Own international shipping workflows, including customs, insurance, labeling, and carrier integrations
- Build scalable systems that support global customers with speed and reliability
- Reduce friction, delays, and risk in cross-border logistics
- Ensure shipping workflows are tightly integrated into vault SLAs and liquidity outcomes
3. Internal Tools, Automation & AI
- Own the roadmap for all internal Vault tools (Retool and beyond)
- Design systems for queue management, prioritization, labeling, SL
