About the role
Accountabilities:
- Own the scheduling and laboratory experience end to end, including the core clinical operations platform that supports day-to-day care delivery, while balancing current reliability with long-term modernization.
- Build and scale workforce planning tools that help optimize care team capacity, partnering closely with teams responsible for underlying supply and demand models.
- Design, launch, and continuously improve AI-powered capabilities that enhance scheduling efficiency, laboratory turnaround, staffing decisions, and operational effectiveness.
- Establish strong practices for AI feature development, including prompt design, versioning, evaluation, experimentation, and iteration based on real-world usage.
- Work closely with clinical and operational stakeholders to understand workflows, pain points, and unmet needs, translating insights into detailed product specifications, user stories, and actionable development requirements.
- Lead cross-functional agile teams throughout the full product lifecycle, from opportunity identification and discovery through development, launch, measurement, and iteration.
- Define, monitor, and communicate product success metrics related to scheduling efficiency, lab turnaround, staffing utilization, operational performance, and care quality.
- Partner with AI/ML teams to ensure solutions are interpretable, clinically appropriate, safe, and effectively integrated into existing workflows.
- Collaborate with engineering, design, data science, clinical, and operational stakeholders to prioritize high-impact opportunities and maintain alignment around product direction.
- Align product strategy with broader business and operational objectives while balancing long-term platform investments with immediate customer and care-team needs.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve workflows through automation, AI, better tooling, and thoughtful product design.
- 5+ years of product management experience, ideally within healthcare technology, operational platforms, workflow products, or related environments.
- Demonstrated experience shipping AI/ML-powered products or features, including technologies such as LLMs, AI agents, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), or personalization, with measurable improvements in product or business metrics.
- Experience designing and launching products for operational or care-team workflows, particularly scheduling, staffing, logistics, capacity planning, or similar domains.
- Proven ability to build complex workflow products and integrate AI-powered capabilities within regulated or highly sensitive environments.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with comfort working on model-driven problems such as demand forecasting, capacity planning, and supply-demand optimization.
- Solid understanding of clinical operations, healthcare delivery models, and the workflows and needs of multidisciplinary care teams.
- Demonstrated experience leading agile, cross-functional teams and managing products through the complete development lifecycle.
- Strong product judgment and strategic thinking, with the ability to balance long-term platform vision against short-term business and operational priorities.
- Analytical mindset with experience defining KPIs, evaluating experiments, interpreting data, and making decisions in ambiguous environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to align clinical, technical, operational, and business stakeholders around a common product direction.
- Experience working with an EMR or core clinical operations platform, such as Epic or athenahealth, is strongly preferred.
- Builder mentality and willingness to move quickly, test ideas, learn from real-world usage, and continuously improve AI-enabled products.
- Ability to work remotely from the United States and authorization to work for any U.S. employer without requiring visa sponsorship.
- Willingness to attend an on-site final interview in Menlo Park, California.
- Salary: $180,000–$205,000 USD annual base salary.
