Senior Product Designer - AI Native
About the role
About the Company
MoneySmart Group is South East Asia’s leading personal financial portal. We started as a comparison platform, but we’re growing into something bigger: an AI-native financial companion that helps millions of users across Singapore and Hong Kong feel confident about their money.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer who’s energised by hard problems and curious about how AI changes the way designers work. Someone who can take a blurry, open-ended challenge from zero to one, make sense of the messy bits, and deliver experiences that genuinely resonate.
You’ll join a tight-knit design team: two designers working closely with a Design Lead, operating across dedicated squads, each with their own PM and engineering effort. Design floats across the product, from our comparison platform and financial advisory products to discovery and experience optimisation, all across Singapore and Hong Kong.
Our Design Practice
We’re building an AI-native design practice. Our designers use AI for discovery, concept generation, prototyping, research synthesis, and increasingly, to take ideas all the way to code. We invest in the ecosystem, the tools, the training, and the support to make this real.
Responsibilities
- Own problems end to end, from fuzzy brief to shipped experience, across comparison, financial advisory, and discovery surfaces
- Do the research, make the call. Synthesise user insights into clear problem statements and design decisions the team can act on
- Deliver the craft. Thoughtful, high quality UI that’s precise and technically feasible
- Bring a strong design point of view to the table and advocate for it, even when the room pushes back
- Float across squads, partner with PMs and engineers, and shape design culture as you go
- Build with AI daily. Generate, critique, iterate, and refine. We’ll make sure you have the tools and ecosystem to support this
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in product design, with a portfolio that shows end-to-end ownership across complex, user-facing products
- Strong 0-to-1 instincts: comfortable starting from a blank slate, shaping problem spaces, and making strategic design decisions with incomplete information
- You can hold a room, defend a decision, and align stakeholders without needing backup
- High craft standards for visual design and deep fluency in interaction design and user research
Independence & Problem Solving
- Self-driven with a bias for action. You identify gaps, take initiative, and don’t need step-by-step direction to move forward
- A structured thinker who brings clarity to messy problems without losing sight of the human on the other side
- Comfortable challenging decisions upward and across. You advocate for what’s right, not just what’s easy
AI as a Design Practice
- You already use AI tools in your design workflow for generating UI, exploring concepts, synthesising research, or accelerating prototyping. Tell us how in your application
- You’re comfortable being evaluated on your ability to leverage AI in your design process
