About The Role
Toast is seeking a Senior Product Designer (UX/UI) to drive experimentation and execution for agentic management of restaurants and their people. You will design end-to-end AI-first experiences on customer-facing web and native mobile platforms.
The agentic experiences you build will inform how restaurants pay and schedule employees, how restaurant teams communicate and connect, and how employees can be supported in professional development.
You will play a critical role in shaping how Toast supports its customers, ensuring solutions are simple, intuitive, and highly functional. Your work will directly impact customers' ability to find solutions quickly, feel supported, and focus on running their businesses. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and work with other product designers to create experiences reflecting Toast's commitment to customer service and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end AI-first experiences for web and mobile platforms
- Demonstrate fluency with AI-native prototyping tools such as Cursor, v0, and Replit alongside Figma for rapid concept exploration and functional prototypes
- Generate working artifacts that the team can test with real customers
- Leverage Toast's design system in concert with creative experimentation
- Track and design experiences that move customer success metrics
- Run experiments to discover solutions and validate designs
- Conduct and coordinate user research
Requirements
- Prototyping: Fluency with AI-native prototyping tools such as Cursor, v0, Replit alongside Figma for rapid concept exploration and functional prototypes. Ability to generate working artifacts for customer testing.
- Quality: Leverage design systems creatively to direct products toward experiences that exemplify quality, refinement, and ease-of-use.
- Data-driven: Track and design experiences that move customer success metrics. Leverage data to drive better designs and outcomes.
- Experimentation, Learning & Growth: Excitement about continuous learning and maintaining working understanding of AI infrastructure concepts relevant to design, including Toast IQ, platform tool use, Model Context Protocol (MCP), and agent orchestration patterns.
- Research: Ability and desire to conduct and coordinate user research.
