About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Node.js Software Engineer to join our fully remote, worldwide team. In this role, you will contribute to the development of our P2P platform and flagship applications.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement core features for our P2P platform using Node.js
• Collaborate with the team to build and maintain peer-to-peer connections and data replication systems
• Optimize application performance and scalability
• Contribute to open-source projects like Pear
• Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions

Requirements

• Strong experience with Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript
• Deep understanding of P2P networking concepts and protocols
• Experience with distributed systems and data replication
• Familiarity with BitTorrent or similar technologies is a plus
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
