About the role

Accountabilities:

    • Design, configure, and implement complex regional network solutions supporting business growth, new application services, organic expansion, and M&A initiatives.
    • Engineer solutions across enterprise networking and security technologies, including departmental and enterprise switches, routers, firewalls, VPN gateways, IP telephony, IVR, ACD, SD-WAN appliances, WAN accelerators, load balancers, and related platforms.
    • Provide full operational support for regional and global network services that enable access to revenue-generating applications and critical business systems.
    • Diagnose and resolve complex network incidents independently, escalating only the most challenging mission-critical issues when required.
    • Apply strong technical judgment to improve network reliability, performance, security, scalability, and operational efficiency.
    • Serve as a subject matter expert in at least one core networking discipline, providing guidance on complex design and support questions.
    • Engage proactively with technology vendors, service providers, and partners to evaluate solutions and identify opportunities to optimize network services.
    • Make effective use of vendor support contracts, internal resources, and technical expertise to resolve issues efficiently and securely.
    • Plan and track engineering activities, ensuring projects, operational tasks, and technical deliverables remain organized and meet agreed deadlines.
    • Maintain accurate technical documentation and update records with new configurations, findings, solutions, and operational knowledge.
    • Mentor and support junior network engineers, sharing technical knowledge and helping strengthen the broader engineering team.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders and management across different functions and regions to communicate technical information, project status, risks, and recommendations clearly.
    • Participate in on-call support and provide additional coverage or overtime when business and operational requirements demand it.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on network latency reduction, performance optimization, reliability, and modern network engineering practices.
    • Requirements:

      • 5–8 years of relevant professional experience in network engineering, infrastructure, or a closely related technical discipline.
      • Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering or a related field is required; a Master’s or postgraduate degree is preferred.
      • Strong experience designing, configuring, implementing, and supporting complex enterprise or global network environments.
      • Demonstrated expertise in at least one major networking discipline, with the ability to handle most design questions and complex operational challenges independently.
      • Relevant professional certifications are highly valued, including Cisco Certified DevNet Professional, CCNP Security, CCNP Collaboration with two or more concentrations, and F5 or equivalent load-balancer certifications.
      • Strong knowledge of modern networking technologies and techniques for reducing network latency, improving performance, and increasing service reliability.
      • Experience with enterprise switching, routing, firewalls, VPN gateways, SD-WAN, load balancers, IP telephony, contact center technologies, or comparable infrastructure is preferred.
      • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, with excellent attention to detail and accuracy when working on complex technical environments.
      • Ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively with engineers, vendors, partners, and management at different organizational levels.
      • Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities, with the confidence to take ownership, introduce ideas, make recommendations, and guide less experienced engineers.
      • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive tasks through to completion.
      • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision while maintaining accountability for technical decisions and deliverables.
      • Ability to remain effective under pressure when handling high workloads, incidents, tight deadlines, and business-critical network issues.
      • Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills suited to collaboration within a global organization.
      • Ability to quickly learn new systems, technologies, tools, and processes.
      • Advanced proficiency with relevant computer systems, network management platforms, and technical applications.
      • Strong professional judgment, confidentiality, integrity, and commitment to ethical and organizational standards.
      • Willingness to participate in on-call rotations, work occasional non-standard hours or overtime, and travel when required.
