About the role
Accountabilities:
- Design, develop, test, debug, and implement new web-based and mobile applications using .NET and related technologies.
- Maintain, enhance, and modernize existing C# applications, including re-architecting legacy solutions to improve scalability, maintainability, and cloud readiness.
- Design and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases, including tables, views, stored procedures, and related data components.
- Contribute to application architecture, technical design documentation, development standards, and best practices.
- Monitor application security, integrity, performance, and reliability across the software lifecycle.
- Provide production support by analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving application issues.
- Communicate project progress, identify technical risks, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders throughout delivery.
- Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to other team members and contribute as both a team member and technical lead when required.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions aligned with product requirements, industry trends, and long-term technical strategy.
- Support application planning, deployment, upgrades, and implementations, including occasional off-hours activities when required.
- 8+ years of professional software development experience, preferably involving large-scale enterprise applications.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong expertise in the .NET platform and C#, with solid experience designing and developing enterprise software solutions.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2008+ and T-SQL, including database development and optimization.
- Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Integration Services (SSIS), and Analysis Services (SSAS).
- Strong working knowledge of HTML/HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, and Bootstrap.
- Experience creating and consuming web services, with working knowledge of XML.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Visual Studio and TFS, including application build and deployment processes.
- Strong understanding of software architecture and the ability to design creative solutions for complex technical problems.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments is preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, manage priorities, and deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Knowledge of networking and server administration is an asset.
- Familiarity with AI techniques such as neural network programming, Genetic Algorithm Framework for .NET (GAF), or steering behavior programming is considered an additional asset.
