About the Role
Tia is looking for a Senior Manager, People Operations to lead the systems, processes, and operational infrastructure that support our growing team. This role owns the day-to-day engine of People Ops, including HRIS, payroll, benefits, compliance, employee lifecycle processes, people data, compensation operations, and equity administration.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who brings strong judgment, precision, and a continuous improvement mindset. You will partner closely with Finance, Legal, People leadership, and cross-functional teams to ensure our People operations are accurate, compliant, scalable, and employee-centered.
What You’ll Do
- Own and improve core People Operations processes across HRIS, payroll, benefits, compliance, reporting, and employee lifecycle workflows
- Lead the strategy, configuration, and optimization of ADP Workforce Now as Tia’s system of record
- Oversee accurate and timely payroll for a multi-state, multi-entity workforce
- Manage benefits administration, open enrollment, vendor partnerships, audits, and compliance requirements
- Maintain accurate people data, reporting, dashboards, and operational insights
- Support compensation operations, bonus calculations, and equity administration in Carta
- Identify process gaps and build cleaner, more scalable ways of working
- Partner with Finance, Legal, People Business Partners, and leaders to support operational rigor and employee experience
- Manage and develop a People Ops team member, setting a high bar for ownership, accuracy, and follow-through
A Bit About You
- 8+ years of People Operations experience, with deep ownership of payroll, HRIS, benefits, and compliance
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now, including configuration and process improvement
- Experience managing complex payroll across multiple states, entities, and employee types
- Knowledge of employment law, compliance, audits, and employee data practices
- Comfortable working with data, reporting, and systems to drive better decisions
- Highly detail-oriented, organized, and accountable
- Able to operate both strategically and tactically in a fast-moving environment
- Clear communicator and trusted cross-functional partner
- Experience managing or mentoring others
Nice to Have
- Experience in healthcare, clinical operations, or another highly regulated environment
- Experience in a high-growth or venture-backed company
- Familiarity with Carta, JIRA, and benefits administration platforms
- Experience building or improving People Ops processes from the ground up
Compensation & Benefits
Tia is committed to pay equity and pay transparency. Compensation for this role will be determined based on job-related factors, including experience, skills, qualifications, location, role leveling, business needs, and market conditions.
The expected compensation for this role is: $150,000 - $170,000
