Senior Manager, FP&A
About the role
As the Senior Manager, FP&A at 7shifts, you own the FP&A function. Reporting to the Senior Director, Finance, with one analyst reporting to you, you're the person who knows how the plan works, what moves it, and what it means for the business. You’ll be a thought partner to the finance leader, bringing insight, context, and perspective to the decisions that shape the business. You’ll have the opportunity to shape how the FP&A function operates, while building the processes and rhythms that help it grow with the business.
What you'll do:
- Own the financial model end-to-end in Drivetrain: keep it current as headcount, tools, and driver performance change, and know it well enough to defend every assumption in it
- Tell the story of the month: dig into what moved and why, then turn it into a clear narrative that leadership and the Board can understand and action
- Lead the annual budgeting and ongoing reforecast processes for operating expenses, with support from the financial analyst
- Own the accuracy and integrity of our ARR reporting in Finqore
- Partner with GTM Operations and leaders across the business to understand monthly revenue performance, key drivers, and variances
- Coach and develop your team. Set clear expectations, give steady feedback, and create room for them to grow.
- Use AI in your daily work to automate recurring workflows, run first-pass consistency checks before materials reach leadership, and speed up commentary, analysis, and slide building.
What you bring:
- 5+ years in FP&A, including at least 2 years in leadership, in a B2B SaaS environment
- You've owned a financial model end-to-end. You know its drivers, and you can explain what breaks when one of them moves
- A track record of coaching analysts and creating the space for them to do their best work
- Modeling and forecasting depth, with assumptions documented well enough that someone else could pick them up
- You can tell the story of the month to finance and non-finance audiences, and hold your own when a Board-level question surfaces
- Comfort setting direction without a senior peer to follow, and the judgment to act before you have the full picture
- You actively use AI in your work and can explain how it changed your process
It'd be even cooler if you had:
- A CPA designation
- Experience with NetSuite or Drivetrain
- Knowledge of restaurant or hospitality operations
