Senior Legal Program Manager

About the role

As a Senior Legal Program Manager, you'll sit at the intersection of legal execution, operational excellence, and process design. You'll partner closely with attorneys across a range of subject areas, lead key programs, drive complex cross-functional initiatives, and identify practical ways to use AI and automation to reduce manual work and increase the Legal team's overall impact. This role is well suited for someone who's energized by both day-to-day execution and longer-term process improvement.

What you'll be doing

You'll provide hands-on program and project management support across a broad range of legal work, including corporate, regulatory, product, IP, commercial, privacy, and employment matters. On the corporate side, you'll support core work like entity management, board and stockholder matters, corporate records, and compliance, while also helping drive larger transactions, strategic initiatives, and other key company milestones. You'll manage patent and trademark portfolios, run the patent incentive program, and support product and regulatory efforts such as licensing, product compliance, exams, audits, due diligence, and the work required to support Mercury's application for a bank charter.

A major part of this role is helping each legal subteam identify where AI can most meaningfully improve how work gets done. You'll evaluate existing manual processes and spot opportunities to improve efficiency.
