Senior Engineer (WFH, Backend & Full-Stack)

Accountabilities:

• • Own software features end-to-end, from initial requirements and technical design through development, deployment, and production support.
  • Design, build, and maintain clean, scalable, reliable, and maintainable backend and full-stack applications.
  • Develop backend services using Python or Go, with technologies such as FastAPI and Pydantic.
  • Build and enhance frontend experiences using React, Next.js, TypeScript/JavaScript, Zustand, and Tailwind CSS.
  • Work with PostgreSQL and related data-access technologies, including SQLAlchemy where applicable.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve performance, scalability, and reliability bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate closely with product and operations stakeholders to prioritize work and deliver pragmatic solutions.
  • Make sound technical decisions independently while balancing speed, quality, maintainability, and business priorities.
  • Contribute to system design and architecture decisions, clearly communicating and defending technical recommendations.
  • Continuously learn new technologies and approaches as required by evolving product and engineering needs.

  Requirements:

  • 8–10+ years of hands-on professional software engineering experience.
  • Strong engineering expertise with Python and/or Go, combined with strong TypeScript/JavaScript capabilities.
  • Proven experience designing, building, and scaling production-grade software systems.
  • Strong backend development experience with technologies such as FastAPI and Pydantic.
  • Experience with React and modern frontend development using TypeScript/JavaScript.
  • Solid experience working with PostgreSQL and relational databases.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to focus on fundamental engineering principles rather than relying solely on frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and operate effectively without extensive supervision.
  • Clear communication skills, strong ownership, and a collaborative, low-ego approach.
  • Ability to learn unfamiliar technologies and tools quickly and apply them effectively.
  • Experience with AWS, infrastructure, or performance optimization is a plus.
  • Strong system-design knowledge and the ability to articulate and defend architectural decisions is desirable.
  • Side projects, open-source contributions, or other examples of technical initiative are considered a plus.
