Senior Disputes Data Engineer

Accountabilities

• • Architect, design, develop, deploy, and optimize scalable data solutions supporting analytics, reporting, business intelligence, and operational workloads.

  • Build enterprise data structures, schemas, dimensional models, and pipelines from the ground up, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and maintainability.

  • Design, develop, and support ETL/ELT frameworks and automated data-integration processes across multiple data sources.

  • Develop and maintain API integrations and ingestion frameworks connecting databases, flat files, cloud platforms, third-party applications, and other systems.

  • Implement cloud-native data solutions using technologies such as Azure, AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, Synapse Analytics, or comparable platforms.

  • Lead database performance-tuning initiatives, including indexing strategies, execution-plan analysis, workload optimization, and query performance improvements.

  • Develop advanced SQL solutions using CTEs, window functions, complex joins, stored procedures, analytical functions, and relational modeling principles.

  • Create and maintain analytical datasets, dashboards, and reporting solutions that help stakeholders identify trends and make informed decisions.

  • Apply data modeling, metadata governance, and data pipeline best practices to promote consistent and trusted enterprise data.

  • Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders while supporting service standards, business objectives, risk management, and information-security responsibilities.

  • Identify and report operational and information-security risks within the scope of the role and contribute to appropriate mitigation efforts.

  Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, a related technology field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.

  • At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in data engineering, data warehousing, analytics engineering, data integration, business intelligence, or a related discipline.

  • Demonstrated experience designing enterprise-scale data architectures, ETL/ELT pipelines, data models, and cloud-based data platforms.

  • At least 5 years of professional SQL development experience, including query development and modification, dataset creation, table maintenance, and large-scale data analysis.

  • Experience creating and modifying macros, queries, and tables, with at least 2 years of relevant experience.

  • Strong Power BI expertise, including DAX, Power Query, data manipulation, complex visualizations, dashboards, and calculations.

  • Experience with additional business-intelligence platforms such as Qlik Sense or Tableau.

  • Experience integrating data from APIs, databases, flat files, cloud environments, and third-party applications.

  • Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL/data pipelines, metadata governance, and enterprise data-management practices.

  • Familiarity with disputes, chargebacks, fraud operations, and case-management systems is preferred.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to translate complex data requirements into scalable technical solutions.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams and functions.

  • Strong communication skills and a service-oriented approach when working with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Reliable attendance, sound judgment, and a commitment to managing risks associated with data, information security, and operational processes.

  • The role requires regular computer-based work, including extended periods of sitting and use of hands, vision, and hearing; occasional lifting or moving of items weighing up to 25 pounds may be required.
