About the Role
You'll join our Consumer Goods sector team, the largest sector team at YipitData, covering major retailers and brands like Walmart, Target, Nike, Lululemon, and industry products tracking US consumer behavior and pricing. This role is different from a typical Data Analyst seat. Working closely with the Sector Head and Research Lead, you'll focus on:
- Identifying and building new product types and research opportunities — finding novel ways to leverage our data to answer the questions clients care about most.
- Expanding into new use cases and client segments — for example, extending our consumer goods data to serve Macro investors or other end markets that we haven't traditionally addressed.
- Driving strategic impact — partnering with Research to shape the sector's roadmap with an evidence-based point of view.
- Raising the bar through example — you'll be one of the most senior ICs on the team and will naturally elevate the work of mid-level and high-potential junior analysts.
This is a role for someone who gets energy from building new things in ambiguous spaces. You'll be client-adjacent and deeply embedded in the strategic direction of one of our highest-impact sectors.
As a Senior Data Analyst, you will:
- Own high-impact data products and research opportunities, developing new methodologies and analytical frameworks.
- Partner with Research to drive strategic impact and expand into new client segments.
- Set a high standard through technical rigor and collaboration with the team.
