Senior Corporate / Commercial Lawyer

Accountabilities

• • Provide high-quality corporate and commercial legal advice to businesses, senior stakeholders, and established client relationships.
  • Independently manage complex legal matters while exercising strong commercial and professional judgment.
  • Build, maintain, and grow a personal client portfolio and develop long-term trusted relationships.
  • Take ownership of your legal practice, including determining the type of work, clients, and strategic direction you want to pursue.
  • Collaborate with other senior lawyers and specialists where matters require complementary expertise or cross-disciplinary support.
  • Contribute to the continued development of a collaborative, entrepreneurial, and high-performing legal community.
  • Leverage dedicated business development, marketing, finance, IT, and administrative resources to minimize operational friction and maximize time spent on high-value legal work.
  • Identify opportunities to expand client relationships and develop new business in line with your professional strengths and market expertise.
  • Maintain high standards of legal quality, client service, professionalism, and ethical conduct across all matters.

  Requirements

  • Significant experience practicing as a corporate and/or commercial lawyer, with a strong track record in private practice, in-house environments, or a combination of both.
  • Experience operating at Partner, Senior Counsel, Consultant, or equivalent senior level.
  • Strong reputation for delivering sophisticated, high-quality legal advice and managing complex commercial matters.
  • Established client relationships and the ability to independently manage and develop a client portfolio.
  • Strong commercial awareness and sound professional judgment, with the confidence to advise senior stakeholders on complex issues.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and genuine interest in taking greater ownership of your practice and career direction.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, relationship-building, and client management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with experienced legal professionals when additional expertise is valuable.
